The human mind and how it works has always fascinated me! My goal is to assume a number of critical roles which are essential to affecting a person’s future. These roles include academic, preparation and planning, mental health, interpersonal relations, social adjustments, career planning, and work adjustment. Consequently it is the professional commitment of this counselor to direct and promote the fullest development of each individual.
I earned a Para Legal Certificate at the Para Legal Institute, my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from Metropolitan College of New York in 1994, and my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from Clark Atlanta in 1997.
I have almost 10 years of experience as a licensed Social Service Provider and Guidance Counselor in the Department of Juvenile Justice in Georgia. I spent the next three years at the DeKalb County Community Service Board as the Director of the DeKalb Juvenile Drug Court and then as a Substance Abuse Coordinator at the Clifton Springs Mental Health Center. Afterwards, I worked as a therapist at the Northside Psychological Service for eight years. After my tenure at Northside Psychological Service, I went in to private practice at Family’s Matter Counseling and Psychological Services.
